An
associate counsel with MacKenzie Fujisawa LLP, Bill Ferguson
has practiced extensively in litigation and administrative
law.
Bill focuses his practice on providing legal services to the
business community, First Nations, and individuals as general
counsel and as an appellate, trial and tribunal advocate.
He is also an arbitrator on the panel of the British Columbia
International Commercial Arbitration Centre.
In 1999 Bill was appointed by the British Columbia Supreme
Court as Fund Counsel in the $1.1 billion 1986-1990 Hepatitis
C class action settlement. Fund Counsel’s responsibilities
include defending the decisions made by the Administrator
and defending the interests of the settlement trust.
As litigation counsel, Bill has appeared in every level of
appellate court and before numerous administrative tribunals.
Bill is our representative for Business Counsel Inc. –
an association of law firms in Canada, the United States and
the United Kingdom that provides legal services to the business
community.
